🛹 What’s Included in Your 1-to-1 Skateboarding Lesson

We offer personalised skateboarding lessons for both beginners and progressing skaters. Whether you're a child, teen, or adult, our sessions are tailored to your ability — starting from age 5+.

Beginner lessons focus on core skills:

  • Pushing off, balancing, turning, and falling (with style)

  • Building confidence to drop in on ramps

  • Understanding how to safely navigate a skatepark

Progressing riders can choose to follow:

  • Street path – learn ollies, grinds, and flip tricks

  • Transition path – carve bowls, ride ramps, and develop lip tricks & airs

Extra Info

You’ll need to bring your own helmet (required) and any protective gear

Our instructor is DBS-checked for peace of mind

In case of rain, we’ll reschedule your lesson — no extra charge

Who should learn skateboarding?

Everyone should learn skateboarding. Skateboarding is an amazing life skill that teaches you determination, resilience and how to overcome your fears.

Where are the skateboard lessons?

We have our skateboard lessons at ether Hove Lagoon (BN34LX), Brighton Level (BN2 3HA) we do travel to East Sussex and West Sussex although we have to charge for travel the further we go to cover our costs.

Can you teach me to kick flip?

Yes, we can teach you to kickflip. Everyone learns differently and we do our best to adapt to different methods throughout the lesson in order to find what works best with every student.

Am I too old to skateboard?

skateboarding is inclusive and for everyone at brighton skate lessons we have taught all different ages from Grandparents to Preschool.

Is skateboarding safe?

Skateboarding is a dangerous sport and can cause injury, with that being said we do everything in our power to avoid injury at all costs, so far since I started my teaching journey way back in 2018 I have not had one student injured and we are going to do our best to keep. it that way.

What do I bring to my Skateboard Lesson?

If you have your own skateboard then amazing but if not you can use one of ours. You need to provide your own helmet and your own protective pads
